ITU Telecom World 2009 draws to a close today but not before another meeting of leaders from around the world. More than 80 government ministers convened in Geneva yesterday for the Council of Ministers meeting to discuss national and international ICT issues.

Throughout this week, Telecom World 2009 has managed to attract heads of state, government ministers and industry leaders from every corner of the globe, including UN secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon.

The next Telecom World event takes place in 2011 - here at Palexpo - forty years on from the first event in 1971.
